For consistent tillage depth, outfit your unit with either a lead 22”-diameter depth band coulter that cuts residue for a clean tillage pass or a wheel with an 8” x 20.5” tire for flotation. Both options feature easy, wrench-free adjustability with a depth gauge for fine-tuning your tillage depth up to 9”

Tillage sweep options include single-piece designs in a variety of widths or western sweeps with pitch adjustability and replaceable blades in multiple widths

Add a long tail option to equip the 8315 with a wide variety of tooling options to customize it to your operation

Inter-row ripper shanks perform deeper tillage to alleviate hardpan and allow maximum water infiltration for the model 8315. They are positioned right before the weeding shank and feature a shear-bolt protection with replaceable points and wearbars.

Intermediate tooling options with the long-tail row unit include 14” sweeps or a ripper shank with shear-bolt protection, wear point and shim.

Closed-top crop shields help protect your fragile seedlings and can be added to model 8315 for use in lighter soils. They can be easily flipped up for use in taller crops.

Open-top crop shields are width adjustable to protect fragile young crops while maintaining the desired ground speed. They can easily be rotated up for use in taller crops.

Barring-off discs pull soil away from the plant without disturbing the roots and are mounted just before the tillage shank. The shank then repositions the soil across the row width while eradicating weeds. Easily pin them up and out of the way when not needed.

Liquid fertilizer tubes mount to western sweeps for split applying fertilizer to both sides of the row and feature stainless steel construction for a long life.

Ridging wings can be added to either wing style to build a furrow for creating flood irrigation channels and can help bury weeds in the crop row with added tillage performance. They can easily be rotated up and out of the way if needed.

Rolling shields feature a straight-bladed coulter design to prune weed roots closer to the crop and prevent soil from covering the crop. Width and depth adjustability tailor the tool to your needs.

Nurse tank hitch tows anhydrous ammonia or liquid fertilizer tanks with up to 18,000 pounds of tongue weight capacity. It features a telescoping and pivoting hitch for easy trailer connection.

Lift-assist wheels reduce the tractor lifting load and feature a 10,000-pound capacity with wide 8” x 20.5” tires for enhanced field flotation and 87” or 70” arms, depending on the attachments used.

Wing rests keep the toolbar raised either 115 or 135 degrees when folded for adding various fertilizer pumps pr tanks onto your Orthman row crop cultivator.
