The Orthman DR-Series planters are available with the innovative lineup of John Deere planter technology. Depending on model and configuration, electric drive DR-Planters are available with either the ExactEmerge™ or MaxEmerge™ 5e planter row units. Hydraulic drive Twin Row DR-Planters are available with the MaxEmerge™ 5 planter row units. Depending on the size, row spacing and configuration, DR-Planters are available with a 100-, 70- or 55-bushel Central Commodity System (CCS™).  Individual row unit seed hoppers are also available with sizes of 3.0-, 2.0- and 1.6-bushels.

A 30" Row Spacing Planter with the Widest Range of Configurations

The 30" lineup of Orthman DR-Series planters feature a wide range of sizes and seed hoppers to fit your operation's exact needs. With seed hopper capacities up to 100 bushels, you'll be in the field longer, increasing efficiency and getting your crop in the field faster. DR-Planters with 30" row spacings are available in 12-, 16-, 18- or 24-row sizes.

Narrow Spacing Combined with Long-Lasting Performance

The 20" and 22" lineup of Orthman DR-Series planters are available in the widest range of sizes and can be built with varying seed hopper systems to fit your corn, sugar beet or specialty crop planting operation. These narrow planters are available in 16-, 18- and 24-row sizes.

The 20" and 22" lineup of DR-Series planters feature a fully mounted 3-point toolbar for maximum maneuverability and a compact design. The DR-18 and DR-24 models are also available with lift-assist wheels for added carrying capacity. Narrow row DR-planter models are available with 55- or 100-bushel CCS tanks depending on size or 1.6/3.0-row unit seed hoppers to match your planting requirements.

Wide row model DR-Planters are built with superior strength and feature industry-exclusive configurations to match most any planting operation's needs. Whether you're planting on beds, ridges or into strips, there's a 36", 38" or 40" DR-Series planter to get the job done.

The wide row DR-Series planters are available in 12-, 16-, and 18-row sizes with a vertical- or stack-folding design, depending on size. The DR-12 38" and 40" models feature a stack-folding toolbar with 55-bushel CCS tank. The DR-18 38" model utilizes a stack-folding design and is available with a 70-bushel CCS tank. All wide row DR-Series planters feature a fully mounted 3-point toolbar for maximum maneuverability.

Better Crop Canopy and Improved Yields

The DR-12T stack-folding planter allows for both single and twin row planting with the same planter, giving you more options without having to buy additional equipment. This planter is available with 36", 38" and 40" row spacings, and the twin MaxEmerge 5 row units are spaced 8.5" for a better crop canopy and improved yields. The DR-12T is available with a 55-bushel CCS tank or 2.0-bushel row unit seed hoppers and features a fully mounted 3-point toolbar design.

Place Your Order - Get Ready to Plant

The Orthman DR-Series planters are available exclusively through your local John Deere dealership. The toolbar frame, hydraulics and electrical harnessing are provided by Orthman and the coupled with a John Deere row unit completing package, which includes the row units, seed hoppers, row cleaners, row closers and any other planter technology ordered from your dealer. Planters are completely assembled and tested at the Orthman manufacturing facility in Lexington, Nebrraska, and delivered to your local John Deere dealer.
